Medical monitoring in infections such as HIV or hepatitis is a field in which innovations occur constantly. Knowing which resistances -caused by mutations of the virus- the body can create to antiviral drugs, is one of the most important challenges for professionals on this area.
Therefore the Fight AIDS Foundation annually publishes "The HIV & Hepatitis Drug Resistance and PK Guide", a guide in English developed by leading international experts. The guide includes, for example, chapters on specific drug interactions that can occur, or therapeutic options to treat hepatitis B and C (including new drugs recently approved and experimental treatments).
The main aim of "The HIV & Hepatitis Drug Resistance and PK Guide" is to provide a thorough professional and updated knowledge on resistance to HIV -1 and hepatitis and recommendations for their management, both for physicians and virologists .
In addition, since 2012 there is also the digital version of this guide in an APP available for iPhone , iPod Touch and iPad (via Apple Store) and Android devices (via Android Market).
