FUNDACIÓ LLUITA CONTRA LA SIDA

The Fundació Lluita contra la SIDA is a non-profit organisation whose core missions are healthcare, research and teaching in the field of HIV infection.

It was created by Dr. Bonaventura Clotet in July 1992 from the HIV Unit of the Hospital "Germans Trias i Pujol" (Can Ruti), and is number 667 in the Foundations Register of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia.

This Unit was the first in Spain to integrate medical, nursing, psychological, dietetic and social care for HIV-positive patients. As years have passed, the "Fight" Foundation's, as it is popularly known, work - has gradually come to focus on three major areas: patient care, research and teaching.
